This guide will overview the menu system and options available to Chilldex 2.0 and 2.0 PRO users.
All the great feedback over the last year has resulted in many new and well needed features to the Chilldex functionality!
Fan curve options are a way of tweaking the profile of the curve so that it operates better for your particular environment.
It is recommended to leave the settings at default unless you are experiencing issues.
Please forgive the unresponsiveness of the menu system at times. All the code that makes up the menu system, temperature curve profiles/control systems is less than 1/25th the filesize of one emoji character! 🤯
Default: This mode should work well for most users. If you have issues with the fan turning on randomly or not turning on soon enough se the other modes below.
Passive: This mode is for Chilldex 2.0 PRO users who find the fans too powerful or distracting at max strength, The fan operates at half speed which is still much faster than the original Chilldex.
Temp Shift 1: This mode shifts the auto start temp for those that have issues with the fans tripping too sensitively. in warmer rooms/environments the Index will get hot (35+C) doing absolutely nothing!
A side effect is that the fans will auto start later into your play session.
Temp Shift 2: This mode shifts the auto start temp for those that have issues with the fans tripping too sensitively. in warmer rooms/environments the Index will get hot (35+C) doing absolutely nothing!
A side effect is that the fans will auto start later into your play session.
Agressive: This mode start the autosensing temp earlier and keeps the fans on for longer making sure the system adapts quicker to the heat in the headset.
A side effect is that the Fans will be very sensitive to ambient temperature when the headset is idle/off.
